The following arenas of the legal world are those which I have chosen to spend most of my time and energy. I've found that each has to do with issues that most profoundly affect the lives of most people.

There's very little else in life that so affects one's life as issues having to do with one's child or children. Most people are not ready and willing to die for another person, but most parents will not hesitate to put their own life at risk to protect the life of their child — such is the importance of this sphere of law. There is no substitute for an experienced lawyer when it comes to who your child will be living with, and how much time each parent will have with their child. These issues are some of the most difficult and require advocacy that only the skill learned through experience can provide.

There are few legal principles that we value more than that which seems like a cliche: "Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt." We would rather see a guilty person go free, than an innocent person go to jail or prison. The difference between freedom and many years in prison can sometimes only be found in the skill of an advocate.

Also, it is not uncommon for a person to be charged with far more than what they in fact are guilty of; many times justice involves making sure that one is not convicted of a more serious crime that what was actually committed. This area of law is highly significant to me personally, as I as a young college student in the early 1970's was accused and charged with a serious felony that I did not commit. The prosecutors eventually dismissed the charges — the skill of a good attorney was the difference between my freedom and many years in prison.

Insurmountable debt can ruin a meaningful and happy life. The relief provided through the bankruptcy process is ultimately rooted in the Old Testament where God commanded that all debts would be completely released and forgiven every seven years. It is important to be financially responsible, but when it becomes impossible, God has a higher way of viewing things-and it helps to know that your lawyer is not only skilled in obtaining your discharge from debts, but to do so in a non-judgmental way.

There are times when the only remedy for loss, damage and business relationship's gone awry is that afforded by a judge and jury. Attorney Anderson is experienced and ready to both bring matters into court, or to successfully defend them.
